It is a sad truth that we haven’t had a new Nightmare movie in quite a lot of years, which is why it’s so nice to see how many fanmade projects have been completed to honour our favourite homicidal maniac. Here in this section of the website you can view some of those that I like the most. 😊
KRUEGER (2011-2019): This video is a compilation of five videos from a series of short Freddy Krueger films where Freddy is played by an American actor Roberto Lombardi. The series mainly focuses on Freddy’s life before he was burned to death by the parents of Springwood, but the last episode does show his transformation into a dream demon.Dylan’s New Nightmare (2023): This fan film is an unofficial sequel to the Wes Craven’s New Nightmare movie and features the actor Miko Hughes, who played Heather Langenkamp’s young son Dylan in the original movie. Thirty years after his terrifying encounter with Freddy, Dylan is a grown man still trying to cope with what happened in his life, when he once again begins suffering from nightmares featuring the dream demon from his past.The Last Dream of Detective Coleman (2023): This is the story of the unfortunate last moments of a man desperate to fix his mistake. Fred Krueger, suspected of murdering dozens of innocent children, has just been released on account of an invalid search warrant. The detective, whose daughter was killed by Freddy as well, wants to take matters into his own hands, but unfortunately, fate has a different end in store for him.The Confession of Freddy Krueger (2015): The Springwood police department has finally managed to apprehend the man who has become known as the Springwood Slasher and now the time has come to interrogate him and get his version of the story.Dream Girl (2024): Another one of Freddy's victims, Amy is a desperate young woman who comes into a hospital to get rid of her unborn baby, unwilling to bring another life into her living nightmare. Freddy, however, has different ideas.Slasherverse: Ep 1 | A Nightmare on Elm Street (2022): A horror writer has trouble finding an original idea for her new book until she starts researching the Springwood Slasher to get an inspiration. Unfortunately for her, Freddy decides to visit her himself that night to have some fun.
The Merkins: This hilarious and amazing youtube channel is filled with many videos centered around the most famous slasher characters like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers. Among their videos you can find short or longer skits with funny and adorable scenes and also several remakes of famous songs like the one I put here as an example, the Dreamer’s Paradise, which is a parody of the Gangsta’s Paradise song by Coolio.Here is a special playlist with various shorter Nightmare on Elm Street or Freddy Krueger themed videos that I found on youtube. 😊
